Person is what a learner catches easily!



Person is what a learner catches easily in English grammar. From this post a learner can learn person and delete the problems of voice, narration, sentence and more. 

Person is three in number.

1)First person (I, me, my, mine, we, us, our, ours)

1)Second person (you, your, yours)

1)Third person (he, she, they, any name except those mentioned 11 words)


Active Voice: They have taken it.

Passive Voice: It has been taken by them. ( Here 'has' is used for the subject 'it'  3rd person singular number.)


Direct Speech:   He said to me, "I am ill." 

Indirect Speech: He told me that he was ill. (As 'I' is a 1st person, it is changed to 'he' according to the rule of narration)


Sentence Problem: He speaks as if he (to be) mad.

Sentence Solution: He speaks as if he were mad. (Here 'were' is used in case of any person )
